About my Work
In my professional practice, I combine my knowledge of chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacy, and phytopharmacy, which I gained through my studies at the Faculty of Pharmacy at Charles University and the Faculty of Chemical Technology at the
University of Pardubice.
Over the past 24 years, I have developed over 110 formulations for feed and feed supplements for horses and dogs, more than 55 veterinary products, and over 26 dietary supplements for human nutrition.
Every year, I formulate more than 250 individual feed rations for horses in sports, racing, and breeding. When designing nutritional and supplementation programs, I draw on scientific knowledge, analytical data, and practical experience gained in the field. The goal is always to support the animal’s health, performance, and
long-term vitality.
Why horse nutrition ?
I became deeply interested in equine nutrition during my university studies. I was fascinated by the fact that, from a biochemical perspective, a horse can be a top-level athlete whose body must cope with high physical stress, much like that of human athletes.
At the same time, I was intrigued by the fact that many metabolic processes in horses occur similarly to those in humans. Thanks to this, knowledge from chemistry, biochemistry, pharmacy, and physiology can be applied to address nutritional and health issues in a very systematic way.
What I enjoy most about working with horses to this day is the fact that there is no placebo effect here. Recommendations must be based on objective data and a correct interpretation of the context, and they must actually work in practice. It is precisely this combination of a scientific approach, analytical thinking, and tangible results that has kept me dedicated to equine nutrition for more than two decades.
MY APPROACH
Horse nutrition is much more than simply choosing the right feed or supplement. Every horse represents a unique combination of genetic predispositions, health status, age, use, and housing conditions. That is why I do not use one-size-fits-all recommendations or pre-established protocols.
1
I evaluate not only the energy and protein balance of the feed ration but also the interactions between amino acids, minerals, trace elements, and vitamins.
2
When necessary, I alsowork with the results of biochemical, hematological, and metabolic tests.
3
By combining my professional knowledge with years of practical experience, I can proposesolutions that respect not only the theoretical requirements of the organism but also the real-worldconditions of sports stables, race operations, and breeding.
AREAS OF EXPERTISE
Nutrition of sport and racehorses
Nutrition of broodmares, stallions, and growing foals

Interpretation of laboratory results in relation to nutrition
Development of feed mixtures and feed supplements
Development of veterinary products
Professional training for breeders, trainers, and riders
PROFESSIONAL PHILOSOPHY
My goal is not merely to formulate a feed ration or recommend a suitable supplement. I strive to understand the factors that influence a horse’s health, performance, and long-term well-being.
I am convinced that a properly tailored nutrition plan is not an expense, but an investment in theanimal’s health, performance, and longevity. That is why I approach each case individually and seek solutions tailored to the specific needs of both the horse and its owner.
PROFESSIONAL ETHICS AND CONFIDENTIALITY
Respect for the confidentiality of information entrusted to me by clients is an integral part of my work. Whether it involves nutritional programs for sport and racehorses, laboratory test results, the development of recipes, or expert consultations, I consider discretion to be a natural part of professional collaboration.
I apply the same approach to individual horse owners, trainers, breeders, and commercial entities. Client trust is just as important to me as the professional quality of the services I provide.
