EQUINE NUTRITON CONSULTING

Customized nutrition for every horse.

I design customized feeding plans for individual horses as well as entire stables, taking into
account their age, breed, purpose, health status, and current condition.

When developing a nutritional program, I base my recommendations on a detailed analysis of the
horse and its living conditions. I take into account the type of housing, access to paddocks and
pastures, climatic conditions, exercise levels, and the feed available in the local area.

The result is an optimized feed ration that respects the horse’s individual needs and ensures an adequate intake of energy, nutrients, minerals, and

vitamins for health, performance, and long-term fitness.

Investing in proper nutrition during the growth period is generally significantly lower than the costs associated with addressing health, developmental, or performance issues later in life.

When formulating feed rations, I evaluate not only energy and protein content, but also the ratios of minerals, trace elements, and other nutrients that influence a horse’s growth, development, and long-term health.

Nutrition for growing foals and young horses. The growth period is one of the most important stages in a horse’s life. I therefore tailor feeding plans individually for foals from weaning until approximately three years of age, taking into account the breed, growth rate, skeletal development, musculature, and the horse’s expected future use.

The goal is to support harmonious growth, proper development of the musculoskeletal system, and to lay the foundation for a healthy and high-performing horse in adulthood.

C. Therapeutic Diets and Specialized             Nutrition for Horses

Customized Nutrition Programs for Horses with Health Issues

A properly formulated feed ration can significantly support a horse’s health, reduce stress on the
body, and contribute to an improved quality of life. For horses with health limitations, I therefore
design individualized nutritional programs based on their current health status, condition, and
specific needs.

Areas of Specialization

When designing therapeutic diets, I select feeds and supplements that adhere to the dietary
restrictions imposed by a specific condition while providing the body with all necessary nutrients. A properly tailored diet can help reduce metabolic stress, support tissue regeneration, stabilize the horse’s health, and improve its overall condition and well-being.

Each therapeutic diet is tailored individually, taking into account the diagnosis, laboratory results, current medication, age, activity level, and overall health of the animal.

Areas of Specialization

horses with poor nutritional condition and weight loss
